I'm pulling 60fps on max graphics with an R9 280. Your CPU is gonna play a big part as well. Upgrading from a shitty old AMD cpu to an older i5 nearly doubled my frame rate even after moving from medium graphics to max.

I have a EVGA GTX 750 2GB. And, when I am not streaming, I pull 55-65 FPS. Streaming, I get 40-50FPS.

I've seen posts on the 750. What is the amd equivalent? Does going any lower yield significant fps loss?

the 270x? I think. Perhaps I am just too tired, what do you mean lower yield?

(keep in mind the prices im saying are CAD so its going to be lower if your from the US)
well a GeForce GTX 750 Ti is about 150$ right now I also found a GeForce GTX 960 for 200$ but if you want AMD there are Radeon R7 260Xs for about 140$ right now and I'm seeing Radeon R9 270X for about 200$ and Radeon R9 270s for about 180$.... These will all do World of tanks at 60 FPS, some on high and some on ultra settings...
But if you wanted cheep options for a GPU I think those are your choices. If your going to spend more get yourself a decent CPU while your at it and if you dont already have one or two an SSD helps ALOT!

I have the R9 270X (4gb), and it will go over 60fps, but the real issue is the CPU.

Really, as pretty as WoT can be, its the whole package that determines your FPS, with your graphics card not necessarily needing to be the most important part of that, or with tanks being particularly demanding.

Fps is hugely dependent on cpu in tanks, so get a decent intel chip and you will probably get there

i5 3450

I get about 80 to 100 with the 4690k.

As for OP, it really depends on the CPU. The 750TI will do fine so long as the CPU is top notch. Otherwise it would be a 960/760/660 for Nvidia and 270/280 series for AMD.

It really is down to the CPU in tanks. If you go AMD, your performance will suffer because AMD's per-core strength isn't as good as intel's. This is coming from an AMD user (FX9590, 8-core 4.9GHZ, water cooled). Most games rely on your graphics card, tanks is the oddball. It doesn't take a high end intel chip to run tanks well. Just about any i5 will do from what I understand.
That said, I get 50-70 FPS depending on what I'm looking at in tanks, and my FPS only drops by about 5 when I stream. AMD is certainly okay at multitasking.

i7 4770

GTX 780

FPS usually shows around 120 fps which often makes me think I accidentally logged into west as thats the ping I get there.

What is the cheapest 60fps gpu for running wot on a 1920x1080 monitor?

You are leaving out one important detail.  What graphics setting do you want to run at 60 fps?

You can turn the graphics down to low and run 60 fps at 1920x1080 on the integrated graphics on a newer Intel i3 processor.

As others have said, an Intel processor also helps out quite a bit with your FPS because of its better single threaded performance.

Same graphics card and different processors.  Even the i5 from the 2011-2012 time frame beats out the latest AMD processors in WoT.

If its within your budget, the GTX 970 is a great card.  It can run most newer games at 1920x1080 with a good FPS.  With WoT you can do 60 FPS with most of the detail turned up.  The GTX 970 cost about $300-$350 US dollars.  You can currently get a rebate on some of them that bring the price down to $300-$330.
